Are you interested in becoming a registered energy advisor with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)? Or are you looking to upgrade your certification for the Energuide Rating System v15 (ERS v.15)? Barrier Sciences Group offers unique training courses to get you prepared for either the Foundation Level or Energy Advisor exam. The courses are open to all applicants, regardless of current Service Organization (SO) affiliations. The course is taught by an experienced trainer with years of industry expertise.

I was very pleased to receive a 'PASS' yesterday on the Foundations exam. Going forward next week with the EA course exam prep feels much better knowing that it's actually possible to realize my goal of becoming a Home Energy Advisor. I can honestly say that part of my success so far is attributed to taking the exam prep course with BSG. It was a comfortable and laid back approach to a rather daunting amount of information that is required to know. My two weak areas that were recognized are Math and computers. Rick made sure that before I left that he personally went over the Math with me so I could practice at my own pace. And as far as being comfortable with computers and all that will be necessary; the course helps as well but doing what is necessary to learn on your own is required. Homeowners Canada-wide are eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant, announced on May 27, 2021. This new incentive offers up to $5,000 in grants for home efficiency retrofit renovations, plus a $600 reimbursement for pre- and post-work EnerGuide evaluations. Eligible retrofit scopes include home insulation, heating, doors, windows, photovoltaic solar panels, resiliency measures, and thermostats.
