What To Expect From A Home Inspection Report

Published on July 31, 2017

Unfortunately, home inspections are often undervalued. But the truth is - a comprehensive home inspection can be extremely valuable. In fact, the information garnered from a home inspection report can be an excellent roadmap going forward for any homeowner or property owner.

Home Inspection ReportWhen professionally expedited, a good home inspection can be of value when selling a home, buying a home, or renovating a home. As such, the home inspection report will serve a number of purposes. Here again, it’s the professionals who deliver more salient evaluations and data.

A comprehensive home inspection report will summarize problem areas in a home; uncover issues that may be “hidden”, and offer up remedies to resolve the problems and issues. With Barrier Sciences Group, remedies are designed to deliver the best returns-on-investment.

For some, the idea of a home inspection might make good sense prior to buying or selling a property. For others, a home inspection might be relevant before undertaking a renovation. Whatever the case, a comprehensive inspection will yield a valuable home inspection report.

As specialists in building science, Barrier Sciences Group offers home inspections of all types. These are thorough assessments (from rooftop to foundation), with a final home inspection report that sets the stage for an action plan going forward. The scope varies with the property.

  • Walkways, sidewalks, entryways, fencing, decks
  • Structural foundation (cracks and compromises)
  • Siding (aluminum/wood), exterior stucco, paint
  • Roofing shingles that are rotting/broken/missing
